The mysterious landscape, which we enter by crossing a body of water, awakens in us the enthusiasm and feeling of ancient explorers of long forgotten corners. The water serves as a symbolic threshold that separates the known from the unknown. The encaustic medium adds a sense of depth and texture to the painting, enhancing its mystery.
"What's behind..." invites you to wonder what lies on the other side of the water. The mysterious landscape beckons exploration and invites our imagination to fill in the gaps. It invites questions about the unknown, the possibilities that await us, and the transformative experiences that may befall us.
The picture invites us to embrace the spirit of adventure and curiosity, to cross our personal thresholds, be they physical, emotional or metaphorical, to discover the hidden wonders that lie beyond.
How to work with encaustic images:
Encaustic itself gives one the ability to see further in the end result than the original intention. It is similar to life, or the journey of self-discovery, when we try to discern what is beneath the surface and what is not apparent at first glance.
The short description of the picture can be a clue, but you don't have to be influenced by it at all.If the picture speaks to you, it means that only you can decode the hidden meaning it holds for you.Just find a moment of peace and concentrate on the picture in silence or with relaxing music. We will do a short breathing exercise (deep breath in,hold for 5 seconds and slow breath out 7 times in total). And allow the thoughts and insights to flow freely into our field of consciousness.
Write down all thoughts, feelings, physical sensations in a journal for future reference.
