In the painting we see an interrupted path, a kind of abyss that symbolizes the challenges and obstacles we encounter on the path to self-realization. The abyss represents moments of struggle, doubt or uncertainty that can impede our progress. It serves as a visual reminder of the setbacks and challenges we face on the path to self-discovery.The colours used, such as light and dark brown, light green and turquoise, evoke a sense of earthiness and calmness while conveying the contrast between light and dark.
Behind the abyss there is a tree of life depicted in dark brown. It symbolizes resilience, strength and the potential for growth in the face of adversity. The Tree of Life represents inner wisdom and vitality, which supports us in times of difficulty and leads us to a deeper understanding of ourselves, inviting us to embrace the "precipices" in our own journeys and to understand that it is often through challenge and self-reflection that we find the strength to heal, grow and continue on our own journey.
How to work with encaustic images:
Encaustic itself gives one the ability to see further in the end result than the original intention. It is similar to life, or the journey of self-discovery, when we try to discern what is beneath the surface and what is not apparent at first glance.
The short description of the picture can be a clue, but you don't have to be influenced by it at all.If the picture speaks to you, it means that only you can decode the hidden meaning it holds for you.Just find a moment of peace and concentrate on the picture in silence or with relaxing music. We will do a short breathing exercise (deep breath in,hold for 5 seconds and slow breath out 7 times in total). And allow the thoughts and insights to flow freely into our field of consciousness.
Write down all thoughts, feelings, physical sensations in a journal for future reference.
