In the painting we can see a scene in which a group of people emerge from a narrow hidden space. The colours used, such as red, yellow and white, contribute to a sense of liveliness and mystery. The red and yellow hues can also symbolise passion, energy and enlightenment, while the white colour adds an air of purity and mystery.
The enigmatic nature of the picture lies in the covered heads of the people, which enhances the feeling of mystery and anonymity. It suggests that they may be participating in secret or undisclosed encounters, whether metaphorical or literal. The hidden space from which the group emerges further emphasises the clandestine nature of the encounter.
„Mysterious Encounters“ encourage reflection on the notion of hidden experiences and the allure of the unknown. They stimulate curiosity about what lies behind the hidden space and what stories unfold within these secret encounters. The work can stimulate reflections on personal secrets, intimate connections or explorations of hidden aspects of one's own identity, inviting us to create our own stories and interpretations.
How to work with encaustic images:
Encaustic itself gives one the ability to see further in the end result than the original intention. It is similar to life, or the journey of self-discovery, when we try to discern what is beneath the surface and what is not apparent at first glance.
The short description of the picture can be a clue, but you don't have to be influenced by it at all.If the picture speaks to you, it means that only you can decode the hidden meaning it holds for you.Just find a moment of peace and concentrate on the picture in silence or with relaxing music. We will do a short breathing exercise (deep breath in,hold for 5 seconds and slow breath out 7 times in total). And allow the thoughts and insights to flow freely into our field of consciousness.
Write down all thoughts, feelings, physical sensations in a journal for future reference.
