At the top, in the centre of the painting, a stylised pharaoh's head emerges, symbolising the essence of ancient Egypt. Dark brown and dark reddish brown tones dominate this central area, creating a sense of depth and mystery. These rich, earthy colours evoke the passage of time and a deep connection to history and antiquity.
Moving sideways and towards the bottom of the image, the colour palette shifts to lighter shades of orange-brown. These shades evoke a sense of warmth and nostalgia, evoking the sun-drenched landscape and desert sands of Egypt. The transition of colour adds visual contrast and depth to the work and emphasises the importance of the central idea.
In the upper part of the picture, the darker shade of turquoise blends with the other colours. This shade is a distant reminder of the majestic nature of the Egyptian sky and brings a touch of ethereal beauty to the composition. The turquoise adds a sense of calm and balance and complements the warm colour of the surrounding brown hues. The symmetry adds a sense of order and stability and reflects the structured and enduring nature of ancient Egyptian culture.
How to work with encaustic images:
Encaustic itself gives one the ability to see further in the end result than the original intention. It is similar to life, or the journey of self-discovery, when we try to discern what is beneath the surface and what is not apparent at first glance.
The short description of the picture can be a clue, but you don't have to be influenced by it at all.If the picture speaks to you, it means that only you can decode the hidden meaning it holds for you.Just find a moment of peace and concentrate on the picture in silence or with relaxing music. We will do a short breathing exercise (deep breath in,hold for 5 seconds and slow breath out 7 times in total). And allow the thoughts and insights to flow freely into our field of consciousness.
Write down all thoughts, feelings, physical sensations in a journal for future reference.
